My new 3D mirror rig is now under construction! I designed it to be light, small and durable, so the final design is a compact box that holds and protects the two DSLRs. I’m hoping it will one of the most versatile rigs around, supporting stereo bases from 0-150mm. Anything wider can be shot using a side-by-side configuration. I cut the pieces from 6mm MDF using a CNC machine, which gives a nice machined feel and super-tight dovetail joints. I’m going to file and paint it tomorrow, but am still searching for a good place to buy the beamsplitter. More updates and photos on the way!
